Addison Rae does not allow the haters get her down. The 20-year-old TikTok celebrity covers Glamour U.K.’s electronic February problem, and reflects in the “online hate” she gets, plenty of that has related to human anatomy image.
“It is a very difficult thing to deal with when you’re a woman, particularly going right through your teenagers,” she states. “I have always been 20 and my human body is continually changing, but individuals have this standard that is high human body image and say, ‘Oh, you must seem like this to appear great or even to look hot or even to be cool or even to be pretty.'”
“for me personally, lots of people have stated, ‘Oh I adore exactly how comfortable this woman is and she does not look like the wonder standard.’ It is a backhanded praise often because individuals should be like, ‘I’m therefore happy she is certain that she does not look perfect,'” Rae continues. “It hurts often when anyone state that, because i believe every person’s perfect, so just why can there be some standard of ‘this human body could be the body that is ideal?”
A time or two though she’s against the thought that there’s an ideal body, Rae admits to previously falling victim to the pressure of societal beauty standards.
“I familiar with ask myself, ‘Why does not my human body seem like that? Or how comen’t my hair in that way? Or exactly why is my face in this manner?’ and on occasion even feature-wise, often I would personally simply really look at myself and pick myself apart for no reason,” she claims. “there clearly was a great deal going in in the entire world today, including self-esteem onto this is certainly actually tough.
